Colleton County is accepting applications/resumes for the Assessor position in the Assessor’s Office. This position is to plan, direct, and supervise the operations of the Assessor’s Office charged with ensuring that all County real estate is identified, appraised, and assessed at the proper ratio in accordance with state law, and to perform related professional, administrative and supervisory work as required. This position works under administrative supervision, developing and implementing programs within organizational policies and reports major activities to executive level administrators through conferences and reports.
Requires a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, Finance, Real Estate or related discipline. Ten (10) years of real property appraisal experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Must possess a SC Real Estate Appraiser license or certification, a valid driver’s license and a good driving record. Submit a 3-year driving record. Pre-employment drug screen and a satisfactory background check also required.
