Colleton County Fire/Rescue is accepting applications for the position of Maintenance Technician 4. The successful candidate will under limited supervision, perform a variety of full performance skilled maintenance duties such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and/or HVAC, as well as painting, and general grounds and custodial care work, related to the general maintenance and repair of County owned and operated Fire-Rescue buildings and facilities.
Requires a high school diploma or GED and four years progressively responsible experience in trades, building operations, and/or construction industry or any combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must be proficient in one of the building or mechanical trades and have considerable knowledge of the others. Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving history. Pre-employment drug screen and a satisfactory background check also required.
