Colleton County Government is accepting applications for the position of Truck Driver for the Solid Waste Department. The successful candidate will operate a variety of equipment used in the collection and hauling of waste from the County’s collection sites.
Additional duties include cutting grass, baling recyclables, cleaning recycle yard (i.e.: sweeping, raking, picking up broken glass/debris) and loading trailer with e-waste.
A valid Class “A” CDL driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record are required. Please submit a 10-year driving record along with the employment application. Candidates must possess a current medical certificate (DOT) for drivers and have the ability to climb 14 feet high. Weekend work, a pre-employment drug screen and a satisfactory background check are required.
