Colleton County to Resume Normal Operations Thursday at 8 AM

Colleton County to Resume Normal Operations Thursday at 8 AM 

 

The State of Emergency remains in place for South Carolina. Colleton County officials are closely monitoring TS Debby.  Colleton County is  experiencing flooding with several roadway closures. Edisto Beach experienced at least one confirmed EF-1 Tornado that damaged several homes and businesses, no injuries were reported. Colleton County will continue to feel the effects of TS Debby through Friday.  The Colleton County EOC moved to OPCON 1 on Tuesday at 8:00 AM, and is operating 24 hours a day. 

Colleton County Government will resume normal operations tomorrow, August 8.  

Edisto Beach will resume normal operations tomorrow, August 8. 

All nonessential departments with Walterboro City Government have closed, and will remain closed tomorrow with only essential personnel reporting. Garbage pickup will resume on Friday.

Although no evacuations are planned, residents living in flood zones or on/near the rivers should seek higher ground at an alternate location.
