Four years after locating in Colleton County, one of Walterboro’s leading manufacturers is growing. Trison Wells, a full-service contract manufacturing company, today announced it is expanding its operations at its plant at 1756 Industrial Rd. The company will invest an additional $3.37 million and create 30 new jobs.

“South Carolina’s business-friendly environment gives companies like Trison Wells the opportunity to succeed and expand,” said S.C. Gov. Henry McMaster. “We are proud to congratulate the company on its expansion in Colleton County, creating 30 new jobs and strengthening South Carolina’s thriving manufacturing industry.”

Trison Wells manufactures a variety of private-label cleaning products for laundry, household, personal, pet and car care. As part of its expansion, the company will add a state-of-the-art, liquid-fill production line to its existing facility, significantly increasing annual production capacity. “We are very excited and proud of this manufacturing expansion to our Walterboro facility and bringing manufacturing jobs to the region and supporting the U.S. consumer goods market,” said Trison Wells General Manager Jonathan Johnson. “With the local talent and the support of Colleton County through the economic alliance, we will make this project a success.”

Trison Wells initially located in Colleton County in 2022 with $1.2 million investment and the onboarding of 35 new jobs. “Trison Wells makes high-quality cleaning products for world-renowned brands right here in Colleton County,” Colleton County Council Chairman Scott Biering said. “Their expansion means more local job opportunities for our workforce and the families it supports. We are delighted to see Trison Wells’ continued success at their Walterboro plant and look forward to the future.”

“Trison Wells’ expansion of its operations in Colleton County is a testament to the strength of our regional workforce and our pro-business environment,” added SouthernCarolina Alliance Chairman and Colleton County Councilman Steve Murdaugh. “Each of the 30 jobs created in this expansion will create a better opportunity and brighter future for our families here in the SouthernCarolina Alliance region. We look forward to continuing to work with Trison Wells as their operations continue to flourish for years to come!”
