January 24, 2025 - The Small Business Administration (SBA) approved SBA loan assistance for victims from the November Edisto River Flooding (November 2024). The deadline to apply for physical damages to your home is March 24, 2025 and the deadline to apply for Economic Injury Disaster Loans for businesses is October 22, 2025. Despite Colleton County receiving record rainfall, two EF-1 tornadoes and the highest Edisto river levels since 1945, we are happy to report there have been no injuries or deaths so far as a result of TS Debby.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in Colleton County Council Chambers, located at 109 Benson Street, Walterboro, SC, Colleton County will hold a public hearing to solicit public input on community needs and priorities for housing, public facilities, and economic development. At this public hearing Colleton County will provide the results of its needs assessment and the activities which might be undertaken to meet identified needs, including the estimated amount proposed to be used for activities that will benefit persons of low and moderate income.
All Colleton County Offices including the Landfill and Convenience Sites will be closed, Monday, January 15, 2024, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
