January 24, 2025 - The Small Business Administration (SBA) approved SBA loan assistance for victims from the November Edisto River Flooding (November 2024). The deadline to apply for physical damages to your home is March 24, 2025 and the deadline to apply for Economic Injury Disaster Loans for businesses is October 22, 2025. Basic flood/cleaning buckets are now available for Colleton County residents who have been affected by flooding. The buckets are ready for distribution at Colleton County Fire-Rescue’s Station #36. CCFR Station #36 is located at 19576 Augusta Highway. The buckets will be available today, until 5 PM and tomorrow, Augusta 15, from 8 AM to 5 PM, while supplies last.
Despite Colleton County receiving record rainfall, two EF-1 tornadoes and the highest Edisto river levels since 1945, we are happy to report there have been no injuries or deaths so far as a result of TS Debby.
